4'Sunshine' (2007) Danny Boyle 's Sunshine sees a crew of scientists on board a ship accurately named Icarus II, headed to the sun to drop a nuclear bomb in it. Now that may sound like an evil Shebegins to lose weight and get thin, apparently, and she starts to wear this white headscarf over her head. The movie ends with this lady trying to see if she can spot the old black fellow on the park bench, but he is no longer there. The movie closes with her on this bench, gaunt and cold, and one may presume the lass dies. Childhoods End is a three-part science fiction miniseries based on the novel by Arthur C. Clarke. This 1953 book revolves around the arrival of a seemingly benign alien race dubbed the Overlords, who slowly transform Earth into a utopia. They eliminate disease, war and poverty, but over time, their true intentions are revealed.
